Well, full moon tonight. Twilight thought as she headed into the darkening evening. The dogs watched her mournfully as she entered the concealing forest, wishing to join her night-time antics. Twilight trudged patiently along the path, not changing into werewolf form yet. Out of habit she tried to keep her clothes in one place whenever she shifted. Forgetting where her clothes were hidden would be quite an annoying circumstance. So, as she headed along the path leasing to the hollowed out tree she used, she took the time to enjoy the forest again. September had just begun, but already the forest was turning. Green leaves were starting to blush scarlet. Her favorite leaf color. It made her stop in wonder when a tree took on its fall vermilion shroud. When she was a girl, the trees were woodland faes that welcomed her to climb among their lofty limbs. A stream gurgled over its bed somewhere in the forest, too far away to be seen. She imagined the water would be rather cool, having an icy feel that told of the coming winter.
The old, hollowed out tree loomed ahead of her in the bend of the path. It always amazed her that the dead tree still stood. She would have to start using a different tree sometime, but for now it would suffice. Twilight stripped down, stuffed her clothes down the hole in the tree, and stepped back to shift. After she was finished, Twilight shook her thick, wolfen fur. The change wasn’t uncomfortable for her, she just like the feeling of her thick pelt sliding over her strong, well built shoulders. Twilight now lifted her nose to the air. A howl erupted through her maw. The howl was different tonight, not a command, but an invitation to join her hunt. she now inhaled to sample the air for a possible quarry. There was a small herd of does a few miles north. The deer of the area were starting to avoid the town. Since the arrival of the other immortals, most of her choice prey had wisely chosen to move away from the area. Oh well, the run would be enjoyable. Twilight set off at a steady pace toward the deer, keeping her nose, ears and eyes open for anything that might interest her.

The young girl had been sleeping quiet peacefully considering it was her, she was laying under a tree her leg twitching as if she was running, she was like one of those dogs you see that dreams of chasing prey but this dream was nothing like that.
Dream:- Misu was screaming and running but she didn't seem to be getting anywhere she could see nothing but trees and the same plants and logs over and over, there was heavy breathing behind her and a low growl, her feet were going as fast as they could but still she couldn't get away she screamed again panting and she felt that pain, she was in agony writhing on the floor screaming for help... then she heard a howl and the sky seemed to brighten..
misu jumped up in a start panting and shaking a little, the howl hadn't been in the dream, twilight was calling, she stood up and rubbed her head calming down quickly, she'd had that dream for a while now and even though she knew in the end she survived it had always frightened her. However her fear was quickly changed into happiness as she recognized the call for a hunt! She quickly howled in return, ringing loud and slightly off pitch, she may have said something wrong, but as usual without thinking she pulled her clothes off and just left them under the tree, before shifting.
Sometimes it did hurt a little but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle, once done she howled again but this time more for herself out of joy, and with that she sped off she was more known for her speed then strength and she was fast. The trees and the grass were blurrs as she smelt twilight get closer, animals fled to safety as they heard and saw her coming, she wasn't exactly being quiet, she saw the familiar wolf ahead of her but as she was about to bark greeting her front paw clumsily caught a root and she was bowling over, she must have rolled over at least 5 times coming to a stop next or a bit in front of twilight. As usual Misu had made a total foll of herself, she was on her back trying to become undazed by her rolling, shaking her head to see straight she did her usual toothy smile.

Twilight was only half expecting someone to join her. She hadn’t seen Adrianne in a couple days. And Nix probably wouldn’t. He seemed to be busy with some new girl in town. And her vampire friend. Twilight still had to have a chat with the new vampire. A small growl punched through Twilight’s throat at the thought. There were WAY too many immortals in Hush Hills for the humans own good. Twilight jerked her thoughts away from that train. Tonight she would hunt, not worry about humans safety. Grunting slightly at how easily distracted she was getting today, she pushed forward, towards her prey.
Trotting steadily along the path, Twilight suddenly remembered the newest member of her pack. Misuki. Twilight suddenly had caught the girls scent. Well this should be interesting. At least I’ll have some company. Twilight thought. Even though the girl was helplessly uncoordinated and got in the way most of the time, Twilight had a soft spot for the girl. Who can resist puppies? Twilight thought, amused. She would wait for the girl to catch up, so Twilight kept moving.
She didn’t have to wait long. Misuki just didn’t show up exactly the way Twilight imagined, though she shouldn’t expect anything else. Misuki had been in hearing distance a while, the girls uneven footfalls beating out an irregular pattern in the ground. Her frantic running got closer and closer. Twilight waited for the girl to catch up so they could run side by side. Suddenly though, the running stopped. Twilight looked back just in time to jump out of the way of the falling wolf, shock replacing confusion on her face. She came to a screeching halt, waiting for Misuki to stop rolling. Big golden eyes blinked in a surprised way, before they rolled, now amused. Twilight picked up her trot again, coming over to Misuki. A wolfy chuckle rumbled deep in larger wolf’s chest. She shook her head, then nudged the black wolf a few times, urging her to her feet. Shaking her head again, Twilight stared pointedly at Misuki, then sniffed pointedly. Her eyes seemed to speak for her. Do you smell what I smell? Twilight gave a short, coughing bark then started trotting off toward the deer again.

Misuki was just waiting for the world to stop spinning and when it did she saw a familiar wolfy face and heard a chuckle. She did a big wolfy grin and rolled onto her front when she felt a nose prodding her to get up. Her tongue lolled out as her tail wagged with puppy delight. First of all misuki tilted her head, she hadn't been concentrating she lifted her muzzle and smelt, there were alot of smells, the pine, a few rabbits, twilight... deer! Know misuki had the biggest problem she was hunrgy and also exited.
Herpaws moved with anticipation and she couldnt' hold it, instead of slowing heading taht way she went off in an immediate sprint, she wasn't being quiet either! Her exitement as usual was getting the better of her. Her paws working quickly, kicking up dust and alerting other animals to there presence.

Twilight watched it click in Misuki’s head that there was food near by. After she was sure that Misuki knew what Twilight was talking about Twilight turned around and kept trotting. Suddenly Misuki shot past Twilight. Screeching automatically to a stop in surprise, Twilight stood there blinking. But only for a fraction of a second. Twilight gathered herself and then shot off after Misuki. The older wolf was more experienced with running through the woods, so she made significantly less noise as she bolted through the forest. Twilight gave a huff as she ran. The pup will have to learn to control herself.
Long strides soon caught up with the younger wolf. Twilight ran slightly behind Misuki, took a small jump as she ran to get some head ground, then jumped again, this time bowling into Misuki. This would stop Misuki from letting the whole forest that two giant predators were out hunting. Not that they couldn’t outrun pretty much everything in this forest anyways if they wanted to. Misuki still needed to learn to hunt properly.

MIsuki was so exited she'd forgotten Twilight was following her it wasn't until she felt being pushed to the side nad being knocked clean off her feet did she remember the old wolf was there. She yelped and skidded into the dust panting lightly, she sat herself up shaking the dust from her coat and then abrked "what was that for?" with small whines lately misuki had been growing, getting older getting a bit over confident.
She walked towards twilight to check she was alright befor looking to the sky and sniffing the air again. Her eyes had calmed down but still held that mischivouse glitter. She smiled a wolfy smile again being pointing with her muzzle as if to say 'can we go know?'

Twilight stopped just in time to keep herself from getting unbalanced and rolling into Misuki. She stood back, letting Misuki gather herself. A small wolf grin was the only response Misuki got to her vocalizations. Twilight was glad to see that the younger wolf was getting more confidence but would appreciate it more if she used it when the time needed. She’ll learn, Twilight told herself patiently. Twilight waited until Misuki had calmed down and was ready to go. She gave a small nod of her head and then turned around, trotting off again.
Nose to ground, Twilight started following a trail. It wasn’t super new, but she had scented these deer in the wind earlier. The small herd had probably stopped for a drink or to graze. Thinking about this, Twilight stalked even more silently through the woods. Hopefully Misuki would pick up on this and follow her lead, silently. The wolves were downwind. This would probably be a very successful hunt. Twilight peeked a quick glance up at the moon. The glowing orb hung heavy in the sky, appearing burdened by it’s own brilliance. Twilight had a thing for the moon and it’s cycles. That’s why she chose to hunt mostly on full moon nights, even though the moon held no sway over her, like the old werewolf legends. Twilight gave it a quick wink and then focused solely on the things of the earth.

Panting lightly misuki shook the rest of the dust from her dark fur, trotting around Twilight impatiently wanting to go, her excitement had calmed down moderatly as she hopped from paw to paw smiling, her tongue lolling out, it was quiet an amuseing sight, the young wolf with her over excitment tire her out already. As Twilight began to move she quickly followed sticking close sticking to a jog.
Misuki nearly bumped into Twilight as she slowed suddenly and made her jump backt oa void it. She then watching closely tried to copy her paw movements, after getting it right she continued but then she got her back paw caught on her front paw and she fell over, grumbling and getting up again. Shaking her fur she jogged to catch up making a little bit more moise, smelling the herd she again got herself excited, her muscles tensed as if to sprint but she held it back and whined to twilight 'are we there yet?' she whined getting close to her

Keeping one ear trained back on Misuki, Twilight followed the trail of the deer herd. The small herd seemed to be following a narrow game trail. Tracks could now also be seen on the moist soil where leaves didn’t completely cover the ground. Twilight made note of that in her head. They would probably be leaving tracks also. Glancing over her shoulder, Twilight confirmed this. Huge wolf prints were laid perfectly in the soil. This didn’t bother Twilight much, so she continued down the trail. She highly doubted a hunter would happen to stumble across their trail. Even if one did, human’s own disbelief in anything unknown would take care of that. Often times that was their undoing.
The ear trained on Misuki caught the sounds of the other wolf falling, and gathering herself up again. Twilight suppressed an amused smile and kept going. But now the wolf was making more noise. She looked back to see Misuki getting close to Twilight. The older wolf brushed towards Misuki so that their fur brushed against one another in a comforting gesture. Twilight nodded, then sniffed and looked pointedly forward. The sound and smell of a river was up ahead. Twilight could just now see the clearing. Pacing forward very slowly, Twilight turned to give Misuki a quiet growl to keep silent. She pushed forward to the edge of the clearing; she could now see the deer. Twilight could only hope now that Misuki wouldn’t dash ahead.
There were four does in the clearing. Three were grazing, and one stood by the river, drinking. The one on its own was closer. Perfect. Twilight thought to herself. Twilight’s muscles tensed, readying herself for the dash across the open ground. If she was a normal wolf, she would take much more care stalking the prey, and setting up a pattern, leaving the deer no escape. However, being able to outrun and out match the deer made her much less cautious. Sometimes she took the time to hunt properly, but not tonight. Giving Misuki one glance backward, Twilight launched herself out of the woods, just as a deer raised it’s head. Twilight had her eyes set on the deer by the river, who was just now starting to move. With enormous strides, Twilight had halved the distance between her and the deer as the deer struggled to turn around and bolt. Glancing back quickly, Twilight looked to see how Misuki was doing.

Misuki watched twilight and mirrored her movements, keeping behind her. The brush against her was comforting, she didn't feel like she was doing anything wrong and it made her happy. But that smell made her stomach churn and her claws dig into the ground. She started to jog unevenly because she was trying to stop herself from just charging. The growl made her stop before continuing and walking instead of jogging staying silent.
They came into view and she was drooling slightly. Her muscles tense and she copied twilight in her crouch. Coiled and ready to spring, her heart beating hard with excitement, her black fur hid her in the shadows and it went to her advantage in the shade of the trees. The deer were so unknowing, it made her so excited. Suddenly twilight wasn't in front of her. For a moment she just watched twilight and her amazing speed heading for a deer, she didn't know what to do but bolted anyway.
She let her instincts take over as she heading for the closest one towards her, she ran with all her speed and she saw it in front of her, the leg she bite down but clamped down on nothing but air, the weight in balance as she leant forward made her slip and fall suddenly rolling into the river with a yelp. 'it's freezing!' she thought she kicked her way out, it took her a minute or two to get out and she shook herself shivering.

Twilight felt Misuki’s choppy jog, the younger wolf’s excitement almost radiated through her fur. A hidden smile formed on Twilight’s dangerous maw at the younger wolf unending energy. Twilight wondered what it would be like to see the wolf be still. She certainly had a hard time picturing it. But Twilight could always use more energy; it was just channeling it into something useful that required work. The older wolf’s quiet growl stilled Misuki’s uneven gait, and they spotted the deer.
Glancing back, Twilight got an image of Misuki slipping, making her roll into the river. A surprised yelp soon followed. Concern flashed through Twilight, wondering if she was hurt. The deer was almost within leaping distance. Twilight skidded to a stop, and trotted quickly over to Misuki. They could catch up to the deer later. This was more immediate. One of the many benefits of being a werewolf, you could always outrun your prey. Always. As she nosed the wolf’s dark fur, checking to make sure she was okay, Twilight also probed at the shadowy consciousness of the wolf’s mind. She still wasn’t able to get clear thoughts from the other wolf, but she got enough to tell that she was cold. Misuki seemed to be fine otherwise, so Twilight ran a quick rasp of the tongue over Misuki’s ear. Giving Misuki a playful nip on the shoulder, Twilight took off again after the deer that had by now scattered into the woods. Twilight picked up a scent trail and made after one, glancing back again to see if Misuki would follow or find her own meal.

Misuki had an odd mind, she sometimes couldn't keep her mind still. She wasn't sure whether she was a wolf or a human sometimes, how she thought wasn't right, sometimes she would walk around and think like a wolf and other times she would be a wolf and think about talking to someone. Her mind was uneven and that was pretty dangerous for her, she was young and she had been young when she was turned so she hadn't really understood the world.
She saw twilight approach and felt comforted, she nodded and bowed her head saying sorry, they'd lost the deer! But she did notice twilight took off again after giving her comfort and she quickly tried to keep up, her erratic running had slowed down a little, she had her nose low trying to get a scent.

Twilight saw Misuki, nose to ground, trying to concentrate. The elder wolf let a small smile form on her maw. The girl was certainly trying. She would get it eventually, though Twilight was glad Misuki’s survival didn’t depend on her ability to hunt well today. Although they could outrun just about anything in the forest, It depends on the vampire…, it was still possible to loose prey. They shouldn’t loose them today though. As long as Twilight could keep the scent trail, they would get a meal, even if they had to share.
As the scent grew stronger, Twilight’s nose rose from the ground so she could keep her vision trained on the forest, alert for movement. Her ears were pricked forward, listening for the sounds of crashing through brush. Misuki following was all she could hear yet. Then! A flash of brown through the forest. Twilight picked up the pace to a lope. The scent was very strong now, so Twilight charged ahead, deftly avoiding tree trunks, patches of brambles and too-thick brush. The deer was desperately struggling to get away. If they had been normal wolves, it probably would have. However, they were no normal wolves. Twilight surged forward, delighting in the strength of her muscles, to clamp down on the hind leg of the deer, dragging it to a halt to wait for Misuki.
