The sun was just about to set when Twilight pulled in front of the mansion. For a moment, Twilight stayed in her van to survey the place. It was a beautiful, big home, with lovely and well groomed grounds to go with it. It obviously had a good caretaker. Or a well paid one. It was rumored that the older man who lived here was very well off with money. It made him the topic of many a conversation in this small town. And especially now that his young niece has come to visit. Twilight chuckled. If only they knew the truth about his little niece, it would really make the gossip flow. It was a good thing they didn’t though, and Twilight never cared for gossip.
Stepping out of the van, Twilight closed the door softly but firmly, and headed to the door. She had parked on the street, not wanting to take up anyone’s spot on the drive way. Not that that was likely for there was only one legal driver living in the house. While she was making her way leisurely to the door, Twilight took time to inspect the grounds. What was considered the actual yard was very well taken care of, but it didn’t last long. The woods swooped down on either side, as if to devour the mansion in it leafy jaws. Very convenient for the young werewolf living within.
Twilight lifted a fist, and knocked lightly on the big door. The wood was smooth beneath her knuckles. Despite being such a huge home, it had a good feel to it. So unlike many huge homes with nothing to fill them. Twilight took a step away from the door. Clasping her hands in front of her, Twilight worked up a pleasant smile in case it was Uyreu’s uncle who answered. She didn’t know the man very well, and didn’t know how well he would take to a semi-strange woman showing up on his doorstep.

Soft violin flowed through the silver headphones. Uyreu was laying on her bed, eyes closed, and hands behind her head in a relaxed position. Humming along with it, the music rose to almost a shriek, and then resumed the low, woody sound the werewolf so loved. Her i-Pod volume was up, as to drown out whatever noise Eion was making across the hall.
Her sharp ears caught the faint, sudden knock nonetheless.
"I got it!" She yelled down to her Uncle, who was enjoying a bit of evening television. She doubted he heard her, though, as cheering voices and the screech of car tires blared from the living room. Uyreu flew down the stairs, and crossed the elegant foyer to get to the front door. Peering through the peephole, the immortal got a start. It was Twilight, the werewolf/vet. She struggled for a few moments, trying to unlock the bolt set against the door. Click. The door flew open on cue, and Uyreu said, out of breath, "Hi... Twilight."

Her knock resounded through the big house, displaying the size of its interior. Sounds from a blaring TV drifted past the unwilling door. It was a good sound barrier, letting very few, if any, sounds through for human wars to pick up. However, for Twilight, she was able to pick up many of the louder sounds. A muffled shout sounded from somewhere inside. If she had to guess, she would say it was female. The din from the TV made it hard to tell though. Pattering feet also could be heard running toward the door. They paused, and the sounds of someone fumbling with a lock was followed by a light “click”. Suddenly, the door flew open, leaving an out of breath Uyreu standing in the doorway. The corner of Twilight’s lip twitched in amusement before a real smile took its place. Young werewolves always amused her, at least as long was they behaved themselves.
“Hello, Uyreu. Are you available this evening?” Twilight asked casually. She wondered if the girl’s uncle knew about Uyreu’s “condition”. If he didn’t, it would be better for Twilight to choose her words carefully. Thankfully, that was something Twilight never had to worry about. In her house, her own parents had known from the get-go about her own werewolfism. They had always been there through whatever she had to go through. If she had to keep secrets from everyone else, she could be completely open with them. Twilight hoped that Uyreu was as fortunate as she was. In a hope that Uyreu would catch on Twilight kept her eyebrows raised slightly.

Uyreu had to wait a moment before her breath was caught back. She took a few last inhales, and then replied, "Um, yes I think I am." She cast a darting glance back through the open door, dreading to see her uncle peering over from the living room, or even worst, Eion.
But no one was there, so Uyreu began to shut the door. As the door was closing, the faintest stench of vampire floated out the large door, and into the evening air. The werewolf twinged the slightest bit, hoping Twilight did not notice.
Uyreu did not bother descending the short stairs to the ground. She was fairly confident that, even with Eion's vampire hearing, the werewolves' conversation would go unheard. "So, what is it that you need?" She was sure that the older werewolf came here for a specific reason, Twilight is hardly the one to just come for a social visit.

Twilight forced down a chuckle as Uyreu caught her breath and composed herself. The girl stated that she was indeed available. A small grin formed on Twilight’s face at the news, but then quickly disappeared as the girl looked furtively over her shoulder. Twilight raised an eyebrow at the wolf, wondering what the problem was. Then she smelled it. Just barely, and very, very fresh. Vampire. Twilight’s lip curled slightly at the displeasing odor. There was another vampire that had popped up in Hush Hills.
"I see you have a guest?" Twilight asked casually. This wasn't the place to talk about it though.
"You can tell me all about it on our walk, if you'll join me." Twilight said with a smile.

Uyreu Clarke saw the Vet's eyebrow raise, and was about to reply, when the trace of vampire scent floated out the door behind her. She almost grabbed at the air, hoping that she could catch that foreign smell before Twilight sensed it. But as the smell left her, it reached the werewolf. "Right. That's probably best..." She hopped down the steps, and onto the sidewalk that led to the road. She took one more look at the bedroom window on the second story. Seeing nothing but the curtains, Uyreu turned back to Twilight. "Well, my Uncle seems to have adopted another girl." Her memory went back. The dreaded ride to the train stop. The vampire scent that only an immortal's nose could detect, spilling out of the door. And then, the vampire herself. Figures. The FIRST time Uncle adopts someone, it's a werewolf. The SECOND time, it's a vampire...
"And, that someone happened to be a VAMPIRE!" The young werewolf's voice rose is frustration. She was quieter on her next words, "I don't know what to do! I can't tell my Uncle that she's a vampire without revealing that I'm a werewolf."

Twilight started walking as Uyreu exited the home and shut the door, blocking out the scent of the new vampire. The older wolf’s expression darkened. Another one. Again. This town was drawing immortals like moths to a flame. It was official, Twilight couldn’t keep track of all of them flocking in. And she couldn’t put out more patrols with her small pack. Besides, for now the woods didn’t seem to be the biggest problem for getting immortals into the town. They were coming in with vehicles and possibly the train. And there was no way that Twilight could stop those without major consequences. She would have to think of something. But not tonight.
”Hmmm, well that is ironic.” Twilight chuckled as they walked slowly. She did feel sympathy for the young werewolf though. It would not be easy growing up in a house with a strange vampire. Well the girl was always welcome over at her house if she wanted to get away from the stench of vampire. Twilight would also have to come back to this house. Except this time to pay the young vampire a visit.
”Would you like to hunt with me?” Twilight asked suddenly.
