Elizabeth internally began to relax when Shawn did. He didn’t get angry or defensive when she told him about her knowing about who he really was. That was always good. Pissing off immortals generally wasn’t a good idea. Elizabeth never had seriously pissed one off, Vara was probably to thank for that, so she could only imagine what would happen to her if she did. When he said something about people knowing about werewolfism, Elizabeth nodded fiercely.
”Well I know there is at least one other human who knows besides me… And it’s kinda bad that he knows. Some secret government official tryin’ to hunt you guys down. Had kinda a tense run in with him over at the basketball courts. You might either want to lay low or… don’t go anywhere alone or something. Not sure how serious he is about hunting you guys but still…” Elizabeth said, trailing off. She still couldn’t come up with his name. Her eyebrows knit together in thought, and she blinked and focused on him again when she realized he had asked her a question.
”Oh ahh, well, my friend is sorta… well… a vampire. So that’s how it started for me. Just recently learned about you guys, and Nix is my friend sooo… Yup!” Elizabeth said, ending enthusiastically. When she said ‘yup’, the piece of paper she had been fiddling with out of boredom ripped slightly. She suddenly realized she was getting restless. Looking around, she stuffed the books into her bag and stood up, looking down at him, bag slung over one shoulder.
”You wanna, take a walk or something? I’m getting bored and I’m gonna get no homework done while chatting with a werewolf.” Elizabeth said brightly, looking at him expectantly.

Shawn frowned when Elizabeth explained that there was another human in the town, one who had a more than a innocent interest in immortals. Government, possibly. That worried Shawn, but to be honest, it wasn't that alarming to him. He was a young werewolf, who barely got into any trouble. He figured he could sneak by any hunters that took interest in immortals.
A vampire? Well that was interesting, for sure. She would surely, of course, be talking about Drake. After all, what were the chances that more than one vampire would inhabit the same town, right? But, just to be sure, Shawn asked Elizabeth. "You're friend is a vampire? Do you mean Drake?"
When Elizabeth stood up and stuffed all her things in her bag, Shawn eyed her with curiosity. At her question, he hesitated, before smiling and getting up himself. "Sure, I guess. A walk would be nice. And I suppose that makes sense. I've heard talking to werewolves tends to break concentration."

Shawn didn’t really seem to react when she mentioned the guy from the CIA. She didn’t know if that was a good sign or a bad thing. Vara had seemed concerned when they ran into him. Well maybe Shawn was better at staying under the radar. Or something. I guess we’ll find out. Maybe it was easier for werewolves to remain inconspicuous. It was really hard to tell them from normal humans… While vampires were quite easy to spot once you knew what you were looking for. Speaking of vampires. Shawn just mentioned Drake. Elizabeth chuckled at this. Apparently he didn’t know there was more than one vampire in town.
”No, no. I barely know him. Vara’s my friend. I take it you haven’t met her?” Elizabeth asked, cocking her head to the side a bit. She chuckled again, her eyes heading upward as she thought.
”Well maybe that’s a good thing… she’s not super friendly.” Elizabeth chuckled, a smile breaking across her face. She turned halfway, waiting for Shawn to join her. After he got up, she started walking slowly, head still turned to Shawn. Taking a quick glance around the park, Elizabeth angled away from the growing crowd of kids hanging out in the park. She made sure to head to a still decently populated area of the park. Wandering off into a deserted area with a strange werewolf didn’t seem like good sense.
”SO. What brings you to Hush Hills?” Elizabeth asked, hoping to keep the conversation going.

Shawn's eyebrows rose at the mention of Vara. He had seen her at school, but barely, considering the look she gave him had been less than friendly. He hadn't taken the time to actually look at her and see if she was an immortal, instead only smelling the scent of vampire on her. He simply figured she had had a run-in with Drake or something.
"Well, no, not really. I saw her, but didn't pay much attention. Guess I probably should have taken note of that, oh well though."
He followed Elizabeth, taking note of the fact that she was obviously steering clear of the more remote parts of the park. It was too be expected of course, considering she had just met Shawn, who happened to be as unnatural as it got. He wouldn't trust him either. In anycase, he wasn't offended in the slightest.
When she asked her question, Shawn shrugged. "My aunt. I had to move in with her since I didn't exactly fit in well with the kids back home."

Elizabeth watched Shawn’s eyebrows rise when she mentioned her vampire friend. Yup. Guess he didn’t know about the other vampire. Besides Vara and Drake though, Elizabeth knew of no other vampires in town. Nix and a woman named Twilight were the only werewolves she knew of in town. Well, except for Shawn now obviously. That left the vamps outnumbered. She was tempted to be more on the vampires side, because of her and Vara’s relationship, but she still hadn’t figured out which immortal she liked better. I guess I’ll always be on ‘Team Vara’ Elizabeth thought with a chuckle at the Twilight reference.
When Shawn told her the reason for his move, she turned her face away slightly and let a slightly sad smile come upon her features as she compared both of their reasons for moving. The way he put it made it sound so trivial. Though being a werewolf… fitting it was pretty important. So she knew it wasn’t. Still.
”Ahh.” She said, though it was more of a sigh. Jeeze don’t go all moody on him. Elizabeth told herself, wiped the sadness from her face, and looked back at him.
”So you’ve met Nix?” Elizabeth inquired curiously.

Shawn noted with curiosity Elizabeth's slight look of sadness. Perhaps she was remembering a similar event in her life. If that was true, it could hardly be for the same reasons as himself. After all, Elizabeth wasn't prone to becoming furry and dangerous for long periods of time.
The look of sadness was gone nearly as quickly as it had come, however, and Elizabeth was soon looking back at him with her original expression. She asked him about 'Nix, which was a relief considering Shawn was starting to think about his move a bit more than he wanted too. "Yeah, I've met 'Nix. We... talked, about being a werewolf, and such. A bit about the town. I didn't really spend much time with him though, it was only a short meeting."
Shawn purposely left out Twilight's involvement in the conversation. He wasn't sure if Elizabeth knew of her as well, and in any case, he doubted Twilight would be pleased if he started talking about her and what she was around strangers. Even ones that knew of immortals. Crossing Twilight was definetly someone he didn't want to cross, so anything that might displease her was something Shawn intended on avoiding.

”Mhmmm.” Elizabeth murmured quietly, nodding her head. She wondered about the details of their conversation. What did werewolves talk about? Elizabeth wondered. She couldn’t even imagine. Elizabeth sighed as the usually ‘left out of the immortal loop’ that being one of the only humans in the group usually brought. Oh well. What could ya do. Elizabeth shrugged off the feeling, turning her thoughts to possible subject topics that werewolves could talk about.
”Are you going to, like, join Twilight’s pack or something?” Elizabeth asked him. If he talked to Nix, then surely he knows about Twilight. And surely he knows about their pack. She wondered if he’s met this Twilight also. Elizabeth hadn’t but she planned on it soon. The thought of meeting the head werewolf was a little nervous-making though. She doubted Twilight would be super happy with Nix about telling Elizabeth about her. Elizabeth kept her eyes on Shawn though as she asked. Since she didn’t know the boy, she was very curious in all his facial expressions and reactions. Elizabeth liked studying people. However, most people didn’t enjoy being studied, so Elizabeth would avert her eyes to somewhere behind his head so she wasn’t staring him in the eye all the time.

When Elizabeth asked if he was going to join Twilight's pack, he was surprised. Honestly, he hadn't given much thought about it. He shrugged. "Well... I don't know actually... I guess I might, if she asks. I suppose it depends on what she wants... Is there something wrong?" He said this last part as he realized that Elizabeth was staring at him unusually closely.
Although, it wasn't too weird, he thought. Perhaps she was just one of those people that tried to gain as much info on people as possible the first time around. Or there could be something legitimentlly wrong. Maybe he reminded her of someone the way he acted. Maybe there was something wrong with his face. Maybe she thought he was cute. At the last thought, it took all his power not to snicker. That would be hilarious.

Elizabeth watched as he fumbled slightly with his words. She didn’t know if Twilight was looking to increase the size of her pack, but it made sense if she was. From what she had gathered, it sounded like Twilight’s pack had taken on a little more stress lately with the immortals coming to town. Also from what she had gathered, Twilight’s pack wasn’t very big. She’d have to ask Nix about how many were in the pack now. While she was thinking about these things, Elizabeth’s eyes unfocused slightly. When she realized Shawn had asked her a question, she blinked, eyes focusing back on him in a slightly confused expression.
”Huh? Uh, no, why?” Now it was Elizabeth’s turn to fumble with her words. She wracked her brain for where the question came from. Then it hit her. He was probably wondering why she was staring at him. Elizabeth looked down briefly, before looking ahead, glancing at him occasionally. She chuckled sheepishly, the slightest hint of a blush forming.
”Heh, sorry. I don’t get to come across werewolves very often…” Elizabeth explained, giving him a slightly sheepish look.
