Yue couldn't believe that she still couldn't find her sister. She has been wandering around for hours and ran into several people and no one had seen her. It was as if she had just disappeared. "As soon as I find her I am going to wring her neck." Yue said with a low growl. "How could she do this? I mean really, I could understand her getting lost but still she shouldn't be this hard to find."
Yue stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and took a deep breathe. There was no reason to get angry, at least not yet. When she found her she was going to get angry, but having that emotion while looking for her was not going to help. Nope not one bit of help. Deciding to stop for a bit she looked around and found a bench. She walked over to it and sat down leaning her elbows on her knees and cradling her head. If anyone looked at her now they would see that she decided to wear a pair of blue jean shorts and a black mid-drift tank top, black fingerless gloves, and her black boots. She looked rather odd wearing summer clothes during fall, she admitted her black and white hair was pulled back into a high ponytail with her white bangs framing her face.
Yue decided that she might want to get a hair cut. Yes she loved having long hair but sometimes it just got in the way. Yue was so lost in her thoughts that she couldn't hear if anyone was around her.

It had been some time since his appointment to Sheriff, a position Maverick had been doing quite a load of good in. It had been a lucky break that he had got the job, considering he had only applied to be a regular officer. One look at his military backround and skill set convinced the department he'd serve better at the top of the food chain, something which Maverick had no problem exploiting.
So far, however, he had kept his immortal hunting forays to a minimum, instead seeking to intergrate himself into the community. Something which he was doing with ease. Already, he had gotten the respect of most of the officers in the department, thanks to his way of taking care of things. For sure, Maverick was lucky, because if that one position hadn't been empty, none of his further missions would become possible.
----
Stepping from his Humvee, Maverick put on his police cap, and slammed the door shut. It had been a rather boring shift, and now that it was over, he was looking forward to doing something worthwhile. Certanily, sitting in you cruiser while checking license plates wasn't. Not in the least.
He was dressed in casual clothes, having already changed out of his uniform back at the station. Navy blue jeans, jet black hoodie with the sleeves rolled up, and grey fingerless combat gloves. And of course, his black police patrol cap, tilted slightly to the left. Normal attire for a rather normal day.
As he made his way down the sidewalk to the small cluster of trees which he found so inviting, Maverick noticied one of his shoes had gotten untied. He stopped in front of a bench, bent down, and started tieing it. As soon as he got up, Maverick glanced at the bench, and saw a young woman there, head in her hands. Now, while Maverick might be utterly violent against immortals, where other humans were concerned, he was entirely sypathetic, helpful, nice.
And when he looked at the girl on the bench, he didn't see a werewolf who looked upset.. no, he saw a fellow human. So he stopped, and addressed her.
"Ma'am? Is there something wrong?"

Yue gasped and jumped up into the air, only she didn't land on her feet; she fell flat on her butt on the side walk. So much for being graceful and quiet. She winced slightly as she rubbed her sore tail-bone and looked up at the man. "Well that's just embarrassing," she laughed. "No nothings to terribly wrong. I just can't seem to find my sister. You'd think with this not being a very big place you could find someone but I'm new here so I don't know the area all that well."
Yue decided to stand up and dust off her shorts her eyes looking at the man. He was tall, though most were taller than her which she begrudgingly admitted, she glanced at his clothes and couldn't help but think that his style looked comfortable, he had the kind or drab combination of brown hair and eyes but they seemed to fit him and make him unique. He was rather handsome, for a human. Not that she had anything against humans Yue just wasn't really used to their scents she didn't spend a lot of time in towns or cities due to the smell. Blinking she stuck out her hand with a small somewhat hesitant smile, unsure if this man would freak out on her being nice like others did in all of the other 'homes' that she had. "The names Yue. What's yours?" She looked at his clothes again and then noticed his hat and arched a brow with a small her nervous smile turning into a full blown smirk as her eyes shimmered with the mirth that welled up inside her. "So are you actually a cop or do you just enjoy playing dress up with that hat?" Yue couldn't believe that she asked that, though the mirth was still there, it sounded so stupid and extremely sarcastic. That's one way to sound like an idiot in front of someone you just met. She hoped that this human didn't take offense to what she said; she did have a slight habit sometimes of letting her mouth go ahead of her mind.
Yue realized that this is why she didn't like talking to human males most of the time. They made her all flustered and nervous. Now immortal ones not so much, they were easy to talk to though that's only when their mates or current flings aren't with them trying to kill her. She couldn't help but realize then that most of the immortal friends that she made (which wasn't very many) have either tried to kill her themselves or their flings were trying to do her in. Oh she certainly hoped that he didn't turn into some type of creepy stalker because she talked to him. Most of the time she could get rid of them by getting a restraining order but the last one that didn't work and she didn't like killing humans drew to much attention to the immortal world. That's why she ended up moving here and told everyone that she went to China so that she could get away with him not being able to find her.
