Now It Gets Interesting
Nickname: Ray or RayRay
Character Traits: Feisty but kind, fierce but lovable, confusing but open. Above all else, Raine is very superstitious.
Knowledge Of [Vampire][Werewolf][Human]: She only suspects the existence of werewolves.
History:
Crisp almond shapes hid darting eyes. Pallid lids hid their earthen green occupants. The female was always too vacillate about the world beyond the glass. The very reason her eyes festinated from one person to the next. The only concept of the world around her that ever made any sense was the forest. She had always played there as a child. .
In the end, not much added up. Raine, the small girl with the big dreams, never quite understood the tight bonds that a small town could set on a person. Her older brother had once told her that if she ever got the chance to get out, she needed to take it. At the time she couldn't decipher his simple, worded plea. But as the years wore one and she grew up, opportunity came knocking on her door. Finally the opportunity that gave her the chance to run. To get out. . .to get away. She was going to run away. There was no better chance. There would be no redoes of this moment. “Rewind” is no longer an option. Either make use of this opportunity or don’t.
There would be nothing to stop her. With the road under her wheels and the bright Virginian sky above her, she finally felt free. That true and blissful freedom. How many years had she been suppressed in her home without a hope for something different? Her emotions and personality were left to run dry and rot in that forsaken town that she was expected to call her home. Raine knew that she was now trading one small town life for another.
The breeze of the cloudless day flooded into the cab of her truck. It blew her long strands of fiery, red hair into her face. She screamed a happy cry of relief. Only a few more miles and she'd be beyond the limitations that had been the indentured ball and chain of her past. Life was the only thing in her way now and she would gladly give in to its demands. Nothing mattered to her more than the road ahead, the road that would bring her to her destiny, and her uncertain future. Raine was redeeming the life she never thought she'd be able to obtain. Again, the word “freedom” rang loud and clear in her ears. Finally.
There was a distinct difference to Hush Hills that Raine just couldn't put her finger on, when she arrived. Although it was a small town just like her own there was a subtle contrast between the two. It wasn't the land, the trees, or even the sky it was the people that made the town what it was. So many secrets seemed to lie untouched in this place. Secrets, that she was determined to crack. Adventure was what she finally realized that she was after and she was most definitely sure that she would find it here.
Other: I am sooo a Hush Hills resident.
