"You are now entering Hush Hills, North Carolina. Pft, probably just another stop in my long journey to hell." Her voice was loud in the vast darkness of the warm night, and yet it seemed so small. What was really distracting was the way her tired limbs were dragging. Her skate-shoes were skimming the dark pavement as she walked, sometimes kicking rocks along the way. "Hush Hills, Eh? Well I guess that fits in with the SILENCE" Her voice echoed through the trees surrounding her as she yelled, she heard a few birds scatter, and an owl hoot in a tree just behind her. She threw her arms and head around dramatically as she walked. She was so tired of meandering through towns, but it was what she does best. She had been walking for two days now, with only about an hours nap the afternoon before. She had been snacking on some beef jerky she bought with a few dollars in change she found around the super market vending machines at the last town. She had just eaten her last piece a few hours ago, and her stomach was growling.
She looked up into the sky. The moon was nearly full, and bright, shining off the pavement leading down into the near-by city. The sky was completely clear, and she had to urge to... change. It had been a few nights since she had dared to use all four limbs. She thought about it for a moment, then lept over the ditch on the side of the road and got a few yards into the tree line. She began running in the same direction she had been walking, her eyes closed; and yet she never stumbled. She grunted awkwardly as her body began to change; her spine grew considerably longer and caused her to have to hunch, her nose turned to a snout, and her body became heavier set with muscle. Her limbs grew in length, and fur sprouted from her skin cells. As her hands reached the turf, they molded into paws, and soon she was running on all-fours.
Tierra Delilah Xio was a black-as-night lycan. She was a little more wolf-like than some, and often appeared to be an extremely large wolf. She slowed to a trot, breathing slightly heavy, smiling brightly. She loved a good run. She brought herself closer to the edge of the trees, just barely visible by those in vehicles. She could see a park from here, she figured she could find a place to stay there.
But then she smelt it. It was the undeniable smell of other... wolves more specifically lycans. She growled a little, not in anger but in a near excitement. She brought herself up to a lope, looking around her. The scent was... Everywhere.

The bright night had given Twilight yet another excuse to run patrols. She had been up tight for the last couple weeks. Immortals were literally flocking to her once quiet town. The unease could only be relieved when she was out running patrols. Like many nights before, she had given her small pack a rest, going out on her own. Partly because she felt it was her duty that she should take most of the burden of running patrols. Partly because she wanted to make sure nothing slipped past her. Nothing. She still had a few immortals to check out, make sure that they know her hunting rules.
All that could be seen of Twilight as she ran was a blur of sandy colored fur between the trees. Maybe a wolf-like outline. In wolf form the scents of the night were so much stronger. She would not miss it if an immortal decided to try and cross into the town. The woods around the town had a few stale trails, but they were mostly her own. She did get lucky further around the town though. Twilight came across a very fresh trail. Nose lowered to take in the scent, she began cautiously following it. The scent of a female werewolf. Twilight picked up her pace slightly, eager to get to the end of it.
The trail led Twilight very close to the town before she saw the other werewolf. Twilight was cautious now, stalking up on the female. The other werewolf was almost as black as the night around her. The female growled in excitement, and Twilight followed it with a questioning growl. The sound was cautious, a hint of a warning. It was mostly curious, wondering why this strange female was in her territory.

As Tierra continued to trot down the treeline, she did everything she could to keep her auds from flicking back. She knew something or someone was behind her, but she wasn't exactly sure of what or who it was. She had a hunch it was a wolf, or maybe a lycan, because she was sure she heard a soft growl. She decided to keep moving for a while to see if whatever it was would follow her. She picked her pace up slightly, her paws nearly silent on the turf beneath her. She was careful to not step on the summer-dried leaves at first, but grew careless as she decided she had been discovered.
She slowed to a walk, relaxing and strolling quietly, still growing nearer to the town ahead. Her orbs glowed a little, though whoever was behind her probably couldn't tell. She controlled her every want to turn around and act on her instincts, but instead she kept her fur unruffled.
She growled in a deep but still relaxed tone, her auds flicking back. She tipped her head to the left a little, her left eye looking behind her. Her head lowered just a little, holding her head comfortably. Her tail swayed with her body, held slightly erect, but still relaxed. Her left aud twitched back to show a sign of attention being paid. Twilight cocked her head to the side in curiosity. She would have expected the female to whirl around, instead of continuing to trot down the tree line. Did she not hear Twilight's quiet growl? Surely not, any werewolf would have heard her at that distance, so that didn't seem likely. Well, she would follow her and decide how to continue. So with near silent feet, Twilight began at a even trot to follow the other werewolf. Twilight watched the female with a fierce curiosity, marking patterns in the females behavior and step. The night-black female started out cautious, but grew less cautious. Either aware of her presence, and not trying to hide, or she thought she was alone. The second option didn't seem as likely, so she went with the first.
Twilight was waiting for the female to acknowledge her presence as they trotted along together. Then the female slowed, gave a welcoming growl, and looked back at Twilight. This is what she had been waiting for, so with a relaxed, but with the obviously proud body posture of an alpha, Twilight strode forward to walk beside the female. Twilight kept a respectful distance between them, at least three feet. She tilted her head to look curiously at the other female. The questioning, and relaxed growl rumbled through her chest again.

Tierra looked at the female with curious orbs. She halted from her gait, and looked her over. She eyed her posture and her show of dignity. Tierra hadn't been in a pack ever, but she knew better than to test someone of authority, which this female offered proudly. She thought about the situation, and realised that she must be the head of lycans that had caused Tierra's nose to go haywire. She lightly bowed her head to Twilight, holding her own head below the others to show that she was no threat to her. She was in no way meaning to threaten a lycan.
Tierra's eyes glowed a little. She wagged her tail a little, she could tell that the femme was curious to whether Tierra was what she appeared. She sat down and looked Twilight in the eye, with a look of knowing. She appeared to smile. Hello... she appeared to say, her eyes friendly.

When Tierra stopped to look Twilight over, she stopped beside her. Since Twilight had already been watching her, she casually was looking in another direction. She was thankful for the calm of the situation. A million other scenarios to the situation flew through her head. She almost shuddered. Twilight looked back at Tierra now to see if the female was done examining her. The female bowed her head, and Twilight's tail gave gentle wags of approval, and she sat down.
Twilight's lips pulled back into a wolfy smile at their exchange. Her own eyes glowed in a greeting. Suddenly, Twilight looked around, sniffing the air. Her ears flicked back in annoyance, her eye's narrowing very slightly in frustration. This would go so much faster if they could speak. Twilight got up, and started toward her home, casting a glance backward at the other female. A quiet whine broke through her lips, willing Tierra to follow her so that they could both change back into their human forms...with clothes.

Tierra nodded her head a little and jumped into a trot. She whined in return and looked at Twilight with glowing orbs. She was excited, and her body was quivering a little. This is something she had never expeirienced. She was absolutely thrilled. She paused for a moment, and shook her pelt, a few pine needles flying from her. She wagged her tail playfully, lifting her head up. She then continued after Twilight again, coming up behind her quickly.
She was thinking about what the in the world this could all lead to. She was excited, but nervous too. She wasn't real familiar with lycans other than herself. Twilight seemed so friendly though, and calm. She had a slight trust in Twilight, even though it was so odd for her to be so accepting. She wondered if she had finally found a place where she belonged. What would Twilight ask her? Was everyone here Lycans? She thought about these questions as she followed Twilight, her mind racing through all the things that she had thought about the last fifteen years of her traveling that she had endured.

Twilight beamed happily at Tierra, then took off toward her house at a lope. With years of running patrols over her territory, it had been very routine to slip into an easy lope. Her stride covered a lot of distance in a short time, but was slow enough that she could take in every trace of a scent as she passed. Weaving around trees, Twilight looked back at Tierra to make sure she was following. Even if she didn't Twilight would be able to track her back down again, and if Tierra couldn't keep up with Twilight, she left a scent trail through the forest.
When she was about a mile from her home, Twilight slowed, weaving down a hiking track that led back to her house. Twilight had stashed some clothes some were along the trail. With her nose down, Twilight followed her own trail to the clothes. Just a pair a of sweats and a loose fitting t-shirt, and a towel. Twilight glanced behind her for Tierra. She would give the clothes to the other wolf, if she wished to change. Twilight turned away from Tierra and her whole body shuddered, fur rippling, then gone. Limbs pulled in on themselves, taking the shape of a human again. With human hands, she grabbed the towel and wrapped it around her still changing body. Once finished, Twilight stood up straight, and faced Tierra, tossing the clothes her way, a welcoming smile on her face.
"I'm Twilight Blakk. Welcome to Hush Hills."

Tierra lurched forward, following Twilight closely. Her orbs showed her excitement and she smiled warmly every time Twilight turned to check on her. As Twilight slowed, Tierra did too. She trusted Twilight's nose, and didn't try to sniff out whatever Twilight was. She just took the chance to scan the new scene. Her nose was torn in every direction, and her orbs were filled with new sites. She already liked it here, it was warm and inviting to be in a place as such.
As Twilight changed, Tierra sat down and looked around politely. But, as Twilight became human, she couldn't help but stare a little. Twilight was a beautiful girl. Tierra smiled a little and as the clothes were thrown towards her she stood on all fours. She nodded her head slightly as Twilight introduced herself, and as she did, her eyes closed and her figure shrunk conciderably, showing a thin, delicut figure. She rose up onto her legs, and back hunched a little still. And as her fur faded, her spine straightened out and her limbs returned to normal. She quickly slipped the sweat pants on and the t-shirt. As she finished slipping the shirt over her head, she looked over to Twilight and took a few steps towards her. She lifted her hand out towards her politely.
Hello Twilight, my name is Tierra Xio. Thank you, I do feel very welcome already.

Twilight nodded, a soft smile on her face. Now that the intruductions were over, things could progress. The scene would look odd, two women, standing in the middle of the forest. Moonlight shone down from between the trees, spotlighting different areas on the ground, making the scene eerie. Now, maybe it wouldn’t be so odd for two women to be here, but one only in a towel, and another in too-big clothes might cause a stir. Twilight felt safe here, this was her home. Maybe it would be Tierra’s too. Though the forest was her home, a house definitely had perks.Twilight looked pointedly around at the forest surrounding them, slipping back into silent communication. After a few seconds, Twilight looked back at Tierra.
”My house isn’t far from here. Would you mind going there to talk?” Twilight asked, though she would rather just lead the way there. Asking questions took so long.

Tierra glanced around the forest, too. She felt a little awkward in clothes that weren't hers. And since she had met Twilight, she hadn't hand a chance to go back and find her own dress. She also felt a little awkward with Twilight standing in the forest with a towel. It might seem strange to passers by. If there were any. She smiled sweetly as Twilight acknowledged her, and she nodded softly. She took a diligent step forward to show she was ready to go.
I havn't been in a house for a while, it would be very nice to sit down! she joked. She knew Twilight probably wouldn't find that joke as funny as she did, but in her own sense it was humorous. She started to pull the sweat pants up a little, rolling down the waist line of them to tighten them a little around her small frame.

Twilight smiled politely at the joke, though she didn’t get it. She also gave an apologetic shrug at the baggy clothes. With a quick nod, Twilight heading down the path toward her house. Her steps were light and quick. One big perk to being a werewolf, you could move faster than any trained sprinter… in human form, without even quickening your breath. This is the speed Twilight took up as the woman flew down the path. Tierra would have plenty of time to observe the scenery if she stayed. But for now, Twilight was in a hurry. There was business to attend to.
A cheerful looking farmhouse broke through a clearing. The faded white paint barely reflected the moonlight that tried to shine up the old paint. It wasn’t too successful. Still, despite the obvious age of the house, it had a charm to it. A fondness crept into Twilight’s eyes. She didn’t have long to admire her home though, they would have to sneak in. The absurdity of it hit her, and she smiled wryly. They had good cause for sneaking though. Two women, scantily clothed, coming in from the woods would create quite a stir here in this small town.
Twilight’s crouched low over the ground, blending into the shadows of the threes planted around her home. With a look back, Twilight motioned for Tierra to follow her stealthy approach. With practiced ease, Twilight wove through her yard, keeping out of the moonlit splotches that played in random patterns on the cropped grass. Her goal was quickly reached. The back porch. A chorus of greeting flowed past the closed door, and Twilight silenced them with a sharp command. She now smiled at Tierra, and opened the door and walked in. Four dogs lay down on the hardwood floor. They almost started barking once they realized what exactly had walked through Twilight’s door. A snap of the fingers and a quick ‘sshhhtttt’ discouraged this though, and she made her way to the living room.
”Welcome to my humble abode.” Twilight said with a smile.
