Well this is grand...What else can go wrong?

September 4th

"Oh this is grand.." Yue thought with a sigh. "I, the sister who is always so great with tracking cant find a stinken rabbit or anything out here."

Yue trotted through the forest with some difficulty. She stopped and sniffed the ground before sneezing and fall backwards onto her rump. Yue shook her white head and sneezed again.

"Oh great...I have dirt up my nose...I seriously doubt that this could get any worse." Yue stood up and shook the dust out of her fur, before realizing that she still had her pack with her. Yue's shoulder's slumped. How could she have made such a stupid mistake. with low growls of frustration Yue truged off behind a tree and transformed back into her human form. She grabbed a corset style shirt and some black pants. She put the pants on but was baving some difficulty getting the shirt tied right.

"Oh bloody h*ll. I hate these shirts sometimes, they're so hard to tie by yourself." Yue said finally getting everything on. She decided to fore-go shoes and just walked around barefoot loving the feel of earth under her feet. Coming up to a falled tree she sat down and looked up at the midday sun. A soft smile slipped onto her face and her silver-blue-green eyes slid closed and a sigh escaped her chest. Not paying attention Yue leaned back to far and fell off the log and onto her back.

"Well this is grand...I wounder what else could go wrong. Other than the fact my sister is god knows where. I cant find something to do and I tripped over a pine-cone. I must ask this...What else can go wrong Goddess-sama?" Yue asked from the ground looking up at the sky.

[Twilight Black]

Well, a lot of things could go wrong yet. Like trespassing, then running into the alpha of the land your trespassing on. Twilight thought, almost growling as she snuck up on the unaware girl.


Out on some routine patrols, Twilight had run into another scent. Yet again, another immortal, a werewolf, had run across her lands. A low growl had escaped her throat as she tracked the female. Being careful to keep herself downwind of the girl, Twilight stalked the other werewolf. The girl seemed to be wandering aimlessly through the forest. She was probably young, looking for food. That thought had brought another growl to Twilight’s vocals. The wolf was hunting, on her land, without permission. Hackles prickled were pricked as she trotted faster after the female.

Twilight silenced her footsteps and vibrating vocals as she got closer to the female. She would sneak up on the female, taking her by surprise. Twilight was in no mood for strange wolves on her land. Swallowing her anger though, Twilight came in view of the female. She was young, and had shifted into human form. Why she did this, Twilight didn’t know, but she continued to watch from a safe distance. The girl appeared very relaxed and comfortable, even talking to herself.

Well, a lot of things could go wrong yet. Like trespassing, then running into the alpha of the land your trespassing on. Twilight thought, almost growling as she snuck up on the unaware girl. Hackles pricked again, tail rising high above her back. Twilight had just about enough of trespassers. However, she shook her head silently, washing away the hot anger. She needed to be in total control, calm. In this state, Twilight stepped out of the concealing foliage to meet the female. Hackles were raised, as was her tail. Everything about Twilight’s posture screamed alpha. This girl had some explaining to do. Twilight fixed hard golden eyes upon the girl, demanding an explanation.

[Yue]

Yue sighed lookiing up at the sky and took at deep breathe. She stiffened up at the new scent...Another werewolf..."Just great...I just had to ask what else could go wrong..." Yue thought a little miffed at her luck.

"This is a punishment isnt it? I mean really...all i wanted to do was chase around some stupid animals cause my sister ditched me here after we go off the train..." Yue grumbled before looking aroung a bit. And her eyes spotted a female wolf with her hackles raised, Yue's eyes locked with hers. Yue stayed still but she didnt break eye contact.

Her instincts were telling her that she should stand down but Yue being stubborn did not back down.
"Well this is probably the stupidest thing i have ever done." Yue thought.

Slowly she moved from her position and was thinking of shifting but decided not to. What would the point be.

She raised her hand in a peace-making way.
"Now, now milady calm down. If this is your land, I'm sorry for tresspassing, that was not my intent." Yue stated softly remembering that she was in a new place and this immortal was strong and obviously an Alpha.

While Yue was Alpha between her sister and herself, she knew that when it came to land you never want to cross the Alphas, especially if there were young around, and especially if you are a tresspasser.

"My name is Yue Esarosa. A pleasure to meet you milady." Yue smiled and bowed her head, her eyes never leaving the golden ones, a strict violation of her instincts.

"Hopefully she wont try to bite my head off like many others have.. I can only hope she will at least have some rationality to at least listen." Yue thought absent-mindly.

[Twilight Black]

Twilight sighed inwardly. She didn't relax physically, but she was glad that the other female was trying to make peace. This suited Twilight fine. It always helped if the trespasser made the first move to wards a non-explosive encounter. If the other was interested in peace, Twilight was interested in peace. Even though Twilight's wolfen body didn't relax, her eyes did. The sharp, piercing glare softened to annoyed questioning. After Yue introduced herself, Twilight nodded in greeting. She snorted quietly in annoyance, then started to shift.

Twilight's body quivered for a fraction of a second, then her body folded in on itself. Her bones crunched and snapped as they shortened and lost density. Her thick pelt almost melted, showing human skin beneath. Though the transformation took only a second or two, Twilight was hyper aware of everything that happened to her body during the transformation. She rolled her shoulders once, still on all fours, listening to the joints crackle quietly. Then she stood up, facing Yue. For being a werewolf, Twilight was unusually modest, not liking the fact that clothes didn't shift with you. She was always uncomfortable standing there, naked, though she never showed it. Well, at least it wasn't a male this time. Twilight shuddered inwardly at the memories of the early days of Twilight's pack, when her and Nix were the only ones. Those had been awkward for teenage boy and herself.

Now done, Twilight focused her attention to Yue. The girl spoke oddly, and Twilight wondered how old she was. Whether or not the old-time sounding words were a show of the wolf's age, or place of birth.

"Hello Yue Esarosa. I am Twilight Blakk. And yes, you are trespassing. What is your reason for being here?" Twilight asked, slightly curt. Her voice was calm, almost quiet, and flowed nicely. Despite her placid words, her eyes burned with a ferocity that wasn't to be underestimated.

[Yue]

Yue placed a disarming smile on her face. That hopefully showed she was not here to cause trouble. Yue continued to look into the older Alpha's eyes not even noticing her state of dress, but she did shift her weight so that she wouldn't get any muscle cramps.

"Well, Miss Twilight, my being here is fault of my twin sister." Yue gave a soft chuckle."And some rather annoying events, but mostly I'm a nomad, or a wanderer. Along with my sister Iryll."

Yue bowed low her eyes never leaving the fierce ones of Twilight's. "I really had no idea about the other immortals that lived here till earlier this morning. I hope you can forgive me , and if not I will gladly leave your lands if you so wish."

Yue stayed in her bowed position waiting for Twilights answer. While waiting she tried to stretch out her senses to see if she could sense her sister anywhere near that area.

"Heaven forbid when i find her I'm going to skin her alive for getting me in this mess again. I really wish she would tell me the immortal situation of the places she suggests. I mean come on I've even asked her several other times and she evaded my questions or played them off like i didn't say them." She though absently.

Yue's eyes glazed over with thought flashing with annoyance before coming back to the present and continued to look at the alpha before her.

[Twilight Black]

Keeping an eye on the girl features, watching for lies, Twilight mulled over what Yue said. It seemed that there was no particular reason for the sisters appearance in the town. This was good. Mindless wandering was definitely preferable to a calculated reason. Yue and her sister also seemed to try to avoid immortals. Twilight could tell no lies from watching Yue ramble on. Finally, a welcoming and amused smile spread across Twilight’s face.

”Do not be troubled.” Twilight chuckled.

”It sounds like your sister gets you in a lot of trouble. But you will get no trouble from me, unless…” Twilight paused, turning deadly serious.

”I just ask one thing of the immortals that come here. No hunting people within fifty miles of the city limits. I’ve grown attached to the people here, and would be very upset if any of them disappeared. Keeping suspicion to a minimum is a must also. So, this is all I ask. Are these terms acceptable?” Twilight asked, one eyebrow raised. One could tell that this wasn’t really a question but a demand. If this wasn’t acceptable to Yue, then Twilight would have no choice but to send them away, forcibly if needed. Yue seemed to want peace, so Twilight tried not to jump to conclusions as she waited for Yue’s answer.

[Yue]

Yue let out a low chuckle. "Yes Iryll, does get me into trouble but its expected. She is my sister after all."

Yue looked at Twilight and her eyes turned serious. She still kept her smile on her face.

" Yes, that is understandable. But,milady, you can rest assured that my sister and I will never hunt a human. The only time that has ever happened was when we were first turned, and it was gross. We are strictly animal hunters." Yue stated with a smile. "Miss Twilight may I ask about the immortals here; Are they all as kind as you or are they more stand offish?"

Yue bent down and reached into her pack and pulled out some Sweats and a baggy shirt. She tossed them to Twilight. "Here, Miss Twilight I think that you might be a bit uncomfortable standing there with no clothes."

She smiled at her.

She mulled over what Yue had said, still vigilant for anything but the truth. Twilight considered herself lucky. The latest immortal visitors only hunted animals. It had been a while since Twilight defended against the human hunters. The fighting wasn’t what she had minded… but you only found out if someone hunted humans after they had already taken a life. And then it was too late for the human or humans. Not too late to give the immortals a good thrashing, though the satisfaction in punishing the offender was tainted by the fact that life was already lost. So obviously she would still keep a close eye on the newcomers, including Yue and her sister, Iryll.

”Well, some in my pack might be stand offish if you meet them before I get a chance to let them know about you and your sister. You shouldn’t have any problems though. If you run into them tell them you’ve spoken to me already.” Twilight chuckled quietly at Yue calling her kind. She didn’t get that often from immortals. It’s always favorable to make a good impression.

Twilight smiled her thanks as she caught the clothes. With females she didn’t mind the nakedness, but clothes were always welcome. She pulled the large shirt over her head first then stooped over to pull on the sweats. Yue’s scent hung on the clothing like a stubborn mist. It wasn’t unpleasant, but foreign and slightly distracting. She should get used to it soon. Twilight returned Yue’s smile.

[Yue]

Yue mulled over what Twilight had said and,from her understanding, the pack will be more so reluctant to accept newcommers. She blinked and relaxed a bit.

"I'm sorry if the clothes are a bit big." Yue stated with a small inaudible laugh. "I'm normally having to give my sister clothes and we're not the same size."

Yue's smiled dimmed a bit but she tried not to let anything show; she uncontiously began playing with her necklace that, amazingly, stays with her during the change. She missed her friends, but with them being nomads its hard for them, herself particularly, to stay in one place for very long. Yue liked meeting people but with her restless nature she tended to not want to meet anyone less she becomes to attached and that just makes leaving harder.

"So what are the vampires like?"Yue inquired with a tilt of her head. "While in town i caught a sent of one or two and it made me curious."

She paused.

"I guess i will tell you this; I havce no qualms with vampires in fact most of my friends are vampires but lately the vampires i have met are to ... How shall I put it; Aristocratic, about werewolves." Yue's voice grew soft when she talked about her friends.

"Honestly why am i telling her so much? Its unusual for me to talk this much to an alpha, well one that was not trying to attch their teeth into my throat." Yue asked mentally soothing her temples.

[Twilight Black]

Twilight laughed. The last thing she cared about was how large the clothes were. And even if she did, Twilight preferred something very similar to this anyways. She usually only cared about what she wore if she needed to make a good impression, like at a job interview. That didn’t happen often though. Twilight’s job hunting days were over, now that she had her own vet clinic.

”No it’s fine. I choose to wear something similar when I’m going to be shifting. It’s more comfortable.” Twilight explained with a shrug. She was pretty much relaxed right now, small talk often did that. So, Yue’s next question caught her off guard. The other wolf must have been in the town already. I’ve got to up the patrols again. We’ve got to catch them before they get in. Again Twilight mused over what Yue had said.

”Well, the ones I have… checked up on… have been mildly friendly.” Vara and Heinrich’s faces flashed through her mind. She would certainly rather run into Heinrich. Vara was a lot more stand-offish. Not the conversational type. Yue would find this out if she stayed long enough. But it seemed that Yue could take care of herself, at least when talking with vampires.

[Yue]

Yue nodded.
"I see. Well I'll just have to meet them." She joked.

Yue shifted her weight to her right leg and sighed. She wasnt used to being near another alpha female that wasnt trying to kill her.
'Hopefully Iryll wont get us into to much trouble with her curiosity. Though I think I might leave and just travel around for a while longer. I dont like staying in one place for too long and people avoiding me or they wont come near because they just dont know who i am.'

Hearing a bush rustle yue's attention shifted from Twilight to the noise. She waited paitently and then grinned childishly when she saw the rabbit she was chasing hop out and stare at her.

"Well now you come back Shiro-chan. You know i wasnt going to eat you, geez and you left me here by myself." Yue stated humorously as she bent down and picked up the rabbit and scratched behind its ears.

Yue's thoughts completely abandoned the alpha female in her presence. Though the rabbit in her arms kept wary eyes on her. its ear twitching brought Yue's attention back to focus.

"Oh! I'm sorry Milady. I didnt mean to ignore you, Shiro here is a new friend of mine." Yue said with a small sheepish smile on her face.

[Twilight Black]

Twilight chuckled lightly at Yue’s joking. The girl then seemed to drift off into her own thoughts, so Twilight let her be. Her eyes wandered over the scenery about her, thinking it rude to continue staring at the girl. Twilight considered herself very fortunate that she hadn’t stumbled across any immortals that make a point of feeding on humans. Granted, they could be lying, but Twilight had at least a little trust for the ones that had entered the town already.

A bush rustled, her attention shifting when Yue’s did. Suddenly a rabbit came forth from the bush to stare at the girl. Twilight’s eyes flicked to Yue to see a large grin on the girls face. Yue began to talk to the rabbit, then proceeded to pick up the rabbit like an old friend. An amused smile came on Twilight’s face at the girl’s antics.

”There is nothing to apologize for. It seems that you make friends easily.” Twilight said, the humor that sparkled in her eyes showed in her voice.

”Though making friends with a rabbit doesn’t usually bring food to the table.” She pointed out. And idea suddenly came to her.

”Speaking of, are you hungry? I need to be getting back home anyways. Would you care to join me?” Twilight offered.

[Yue]

Yue nervously laughed at what Twilight said about making friends easily.

"Well honestly I find it very hard to make friends mostly cause of my sister. She has an abundant amount of curiosity that gets her into trouble so I have to get her out of it." Yue stated fondly; she laughed. "But I guess in retrospect I do make friends easily, if not in the most conventional ways."

At the moment Twilight mentioned being hungry Yue's stomach growled out loudly. Her eye's widened when she heard her stomach. Yue flushed with embarrassment before nodding her head.

"It would seem that I am hungry, but I don't want to inconvenience you in anyway." Yue paused. "Are you sure it's alright?"

she honestly hoped that her instincts wouldn't let her go into some sort of ambush other wise she'd never hear the end of from Iryll. Though at this point it would probably be moot since she had no idea where she was.

"Maybe she left already?" Yue thought sadly still looking at Twilight, with hopeful eyes.

[Twilight Black]

Twilight chuckled dryly at what Yue said fondly about her sister. Twilight had been an only child, so she didn’t know what it was like, having a sister. She never even had a girl friend that was like a sister. Friends were in short supply with Twilight. She wasn’t the type to make friends easily, unlike Yue. Now that Twilight thought about it, most of the immortals Twilight had met recently had been quite friendly…

Her train of thought broke when she heard Yue’s stomach rumbling. Twilight smiled, then broke out in laughter at Yue’s blush. Yes, it would seem the girl was hungry. Twilight nodded at Yue’s question.

”Yes, it is fine. All I have are some left-overs… but it’s better than nothing right?” Twilight asked, though it wasn’t really a question. When Yue spoke next, Twilight tilted her head slightly, wondering what she was talking about.

”Your sister? I’m not sure, I haven’t scented her around. But I’ve been pretty busy around here” Twilight said, pausing. ”But come, I’ll lead.” Twilight said, and began stripping down. It was faster to run this way. Twilight took the clothes, and tied them around her thigh, loose enough so that the clothes wouldn’t be ruined when she shifted. She had gotten the idea from a book. Then Twilight began the shift. She did it quickly, and stood ready, waiting for Yue.

[Yue]

"Yes any food is good food," she smiled but frowned. "WEll I suppose that I will have to go searching for her soon I have no idea what her child like mind might get her into."

Yue nodded her head and began stripping as well shoving her clothes into the back pack and for strapping it onto her back. She didnt have to worry about loosing the bag when she shifter because she had made the straps to wear it fits both of her forms with ease. Though if you asked her to explain it in words she couldn't, she just showed people. That was how everything was with her and some explanantions on the hows. The shift was swift and easy. She looked around really quick noticing how her fur seemed to stand out against the forest. This was why she liked winter best she blended in more, but she hated the cold. With a mental shrug she looked at Twilight and made a small gesture to show her that she was ready when she was.

A randome thought passed through her head as she watched Twilight. It must be quite a site for onlookers who do see them, if that happens, two wolves running through the forest one with clothes tied to the legs and another with a backpack. She snorted in laughter (well as much as a wolf could laugh.) Yes that would have to be quite a site she thought absently.
