As Twilight landed on the ground, she shifted her weight forward slightly, and kept it low. Though keeping her center of gravity low, her body posture was the picture of dominance. Ears were pricked forward as far as possible, tail almost straight in the air, hackles sharp prickles along her spine, lips were pulled back as far as possible over her teeth. A deep, rumbling snarl ripped through the air in response to Scarlett’s growl.
She was done with trying to avoid a fight. Now she was just pissed. Fury washed off of Twilight in waves. Scarlett had been given plenty of chances to avoid a fight, well now she had one. Twilight wondered if Scarlett would change her mind about staying if the fight ended badly for her. The fight was three against one. Unless Scarlett used those long legs of hers to run, she wouldn’t emerge victor in this fight. Maybe things would change as quickly as they began though. That was always one possibility. Twilight wasn’t betting on it this time though. It didn’t seem to fit with Scarlett’s character to give in.
Scarlett lunged at Twilight before she even had a chance to respond. Twilight ducked to the left quickly, but not quickly enough to totally escape Scarlett’s teeth. The snarl etched up a notch in pitch and volume as the other female’s teeth latched on a little above Twilight’s shoulder and below the scruff of fur on her neck. The thick skin bruised and broke some as Scarlett’s jaws sunk in. Swinging her head around, Twilight aimed to hit the side of Scarlett’s head. Hopefully this would stun her enough so that Twilight could escape her jowls. For added benefit, Twilight rammed her heavier body into Scarlett’s. If Twilight had tried to escape by pulling away, the other female’s teeth would have done more damage.

Scarlet could not help the small trill of pride at having cracked Twilight’s cool exterior. She had seemed like a saint for a while there, patient beyond belief. But now there she was, bristled and dominant in her stance with fury rolling off her in waves. It was almost enough to make her laugh.
Her pride was quelled in a moment though, as she became distracted by the feel of fur and flesh between her teeth. Her demeanor seemed to change almost instantly as she felt some of the skin give beneath her fangs, becoming somehow more feral then before. Her head lashed suddenly, teeth still fastened into the other’s skin as she shook fiercely. There was almost nothing in her that wanted to allow this female off without a painful send off. It would have been a disgrace on her part; and yet somewhere, deep within her subconscious mind, Scarlet gauged her strength in the attack. There was no need for permanent injury.
Something connected with the side of her head hard and fast, making the she-wolf see stars. Her jaws slackened at the explosion of pain across the side of her face, then fell away from Twilight’s shoulder completely as the other wolf rammed into her. Her paws skittered in the foliage, working to keep their traction and hold her upright. She braced against the force, muscles in her hind legs tensing as her claws scrabbling in the soil looking for a foot hold. Kicking off the ground as well as her footing allowed, Scarlet forced herself forwards, keeping the space between herself and Twilight minimal. She snarled, the sound ripping it’s way out of the lithe looking wolf with surprising ferocity. She snapped almost blindly as the white spots cleared from her vision, looking to sink her teeth in again.
She vaguely knew she should be more careful. There was one, not wait, two other wolves here now, and they could potentially pose a threat to her well being, and the fairness of the fight. And yet, Scarlet could not seem to bring herself to care about them, at least not at the moment. They had yet to lay a claw on her or intervene, so, for now, they were unimportant to her and thus, she had no interest in wasting time thinking about them. She should have been concentrating more on the fact that she was running purely off instinct at the moment. Her body, pride, and desire to win pushing her forwards when she knew perfectly well that she should be using her speed to her advantage. Dodging and flitting in to snap at Twilight, instead of lunging from close range and snapping blindly for the other’s neck and haunches.

AARRRGGHHH!!. Curse you Twilight. You new very well that ever since I've become a werewolf I wanted a good fight and now your taking it away from me. This being all of what Phoenix thought when his alpha jumped in between him and his opponent. Never was there anything he read that mentioned the alpha sacrificing himself for a lower pack member, it was supposed to be the other way around. But then again everything he heard about was about alpha males...not females. He knew he should have bought that book he had seen earlier: Alpha Female Werewolves for Dummies. There was a young tree to his left that would bend just right for his weight that if he jumped on it it would spring him over Twilight and allow him just in time to latch on to this she-wolf's hind leg and break it. He decided it would be too much effort. He did however jolt to the left before the impact. In a matter of seconds, the females were engaged in full combat, legs, claws, teeth, and all. He watched as both wolves made quick recoveries and retaliations. It pissed Nix off that he wasn't fighting, but he now decided not to get involved. If Twilight was in no danger she couldn't handle and if she was, well quite frankly he no longer care. Maybe Twilight wouldn't try to intervene in any more of his fights, unless he was in serious trouble, and for sure not before they even started. Phoenix walked around the fight and picked up his leg piece of deer he threw into the open before reveling himself. He decided to go back to his kill which rested just outside the Hush Hills perimeter where anything was allowed. But first he took his cut of meat over near Adrianne, laid down on his stomach and watched the fight. He had a hunch this new pack member possibly hadn't had a snack yet since her and Twilight had started patrolling; so if she wanted a piece of the cut he would let her, being the nice gentlema...wolf he was. From there he watched the fight with a disgruntled frown.

Twilight jumped a short distance away from Scarlett once she was free from the other wolf’s grasp. She didn’t get too far away, keeping the distance short so the less muscled wolf couldn’t get as much momentum. Another snarling growl blasted from her chest. Anyone within a mile or two could hear the fight. This concerned her for a moment, but then Scarlett was snapping for her again. Twilight dodged quickly, circling backwards and to the side of the female. The female was getting frenzied it seemed. A small, wicked smile curved her lips upward slightly. Scarlett was wilder than she thought. Probably why she took such offence to what Twilight had said earlier.
Another quick jump out of the way and she launched herself at Scarlett’s middle. She was traveling almost sideways, instead of head on. Twilight needed to be able to grab Scarlett’s scruff, and unbalance her. The other wolf was so much lighter than Twilight. She would use this to her advantage. Jaws open, she aimed her head towards Scarlett’s, hoping to grab hold of the skin along the side of her neck, close to her head. If she went for the skin directly on top of her neck, that thick fur would get in her way.
As Phoenix moved around, she was barely aware of his presence. In the back of her mind she was glad he had let her continue on with the fight. She knew he would be angry with her for messing with his fight, but he had no right to accept the challenge Scarlett had put out then. Besides, there would be plenty of chances to get his fur ripped out if Scarlett stayed. Twilight was still planning on this, despite the outcome of the fight. She knew Scarlett wouldn’t win hands down, so she didn’t fear for her alpha position.
OOC:// By the way, just to let you know for sure, Addriane is here, I just didn't feel like posting her sitting there. xP

Scarlet felt her eyes widen slightly as Twilight came at her side-on. It was a strange move, and for a fleeting moment, confused her before her logic kicked in. Her body dropped, head cocking to the side as she attempted to avoid the inevitable and protect the side of her neck. She knew immediately there was no way to get out of being bitten, she did not have enough room to maneuver in the close confines of this fight, but she had a mild idea of how to turn the tables of the attack.
At the feel of teeth hitting her skin she jerked her head farther to the side, trying to maneuver her fur so the larger wolf would end up sinking her fangs into the thickest part of her ‘mane’ and launched herself upwards. In actuality her entire neck was thickly furred, this giving her ‘breed’ its name, but she had always found the fur along the back of her neck was the thickest and the best for this trick. She kicked off the ground sharply, literally shoving her neck into the other’s mouth in an attempt to either, shock Twilight into backing off, smother her in the long thick fur of her neck, or, if she had used the correct angle of trajectory, break the other’s jaw. She doubted the last possibility a bit, even if she hit the other wolf with enough force it was doubtful she had the correct angle to break Twilight’s jaw, but it would in no doubt be painful none the less.
Putting her fast twitch muscles to use Scarlet kicked off again, attempting to ram her entire body weight into the other’s jaws with as much force a possible and keep herself there. It was tricky, she had to keep restudying her footing as she tried to keep constant pressure on the other’s jaws and shove as much fur as possible into Twilight’s face. It was nothing personal; she just wanted her to choke. She knew very well this would hurt once the adrenaline wore off, at the moment she was not even sure she was bleeding, although she didn’t doubt it. Shoving your neck as far as possible into the jaws of an opponent was not the safest of methods to turn a fight around, but if it worked, it was worth it.
Ooc:// Niice, lol. Sorry if this is a little half-assed. I’ve got like, five minutes to post. Uug, homework.
