Hush Hills - Rules

Tucked away in the north west corner of North Carolina sets the town of Hush Hills. The town is well named, for while the town is a mild tourist spot, it has the small-town lull. The town isn't all the way into the Appalachian mountain range; it is far enough into the mountains to have strained ties with the rest of the outside world.

Hello. My name is Twilight Blakk. Humans know me here as the young vet with the four dogs. Immortals here know me as the Alpha, The Guardian, Hell Hound, etc. I’m a werewolf, and let me tell you about this town.

When I first came here about eight years ago, immortals hadn’t touched the town. I was the first. Sure, it was a little lonely, being the only werewolf, but I made friends quickly here. Besides, with a pack of four dogs, I was never really lonely. However, it wasn’t long before a few immortals stumbled across the town. Though I didn’t hunt people, most immortals did. When the first ‘animal maulings’ happened, I decided that they couldn’t be allowed. If I could drive them away, I would. However, I couldn’t keep everyone from being hurt. Someone even got turned once. I got to him quickly, and we formed a rough-around-the-edges pack. Now I had someone to help me protect the town. The threat of other immortals wasn’t just my responsibility anymore. That became our purpose, protecting the town.

Until recently, the town has been relatively sleepy. Immortals have been in short supply, and they mostly stuck to the outskirts of the town. However, for some reason immortals are flocking to the town. Nix and I have been able to keep away most of them, but some do slip past us. More wolves joined our pack, and even a spare vampire or two have started protecting the town with us.

That’s not the biggest problem though. While watching the news, I noticed an unusual spike in human murders a few states over from Hush Hills. They seemed to be the usual vampire attacks, so I kept a close eye on them. After a few weeks of steady, gruesome deaths, I started to get concerned. Somehow there was something different about the attacks. It reminded me of the time I had been watching a newborn vampire terrorize another small town close to Hush Hills. This had the same intense, uncontrollable blood-lust of the newborns, but the cunning of experience.

Naturally, I was concerned. Leaving Nix to watch over the town, I went to investigate. The trip took a little longer than it usually would have, for I was also trying to track the unusual vampires. When I reached the unfortunate town, I spent a few days just circling the town. To my surprise, there was not only one vampire but two, both males. I kept my distance, not wanting to be discovered, or at least not pose a threat. The vampires were unlike any I had come across. It was as if the worst of the vampire species had been merged into one.

As much as I hated to, I had to leave the town to it’s fate. But, I had been gone too long from Hush Hills. There was nothing I could do for the town anyways. I headed home, going the long way, through major cities. I didn’t want my scent being tracked back to Hush Hills. The mysterious vampires had disappeared for now, but I’m keeping my eye out for them, in case they decide to pop up again closer to my beloved town.

1. Respect all members. Please don't fight among yourselves please, its a RPG for Peat's sake.
2. Respect all staff. They WILL bite if provoked.
3. No god modding. You cannot control another person's character. (Example: Mary- She punched the other girl in the nose, breaking it. Blood spouted. WRONG, 'Mary' controlled the other person's character.
Mary- She aimed a punch for Sue's nose, hoping to break it.
Sue- Mary's punch hit home, breaking Sue's noes. Blood spouted. RIGHT, 'Mary' waited for 'Sue' to respond.)
4. No god molding. No perfect characters. Everyone MUST have weaknesses.
5. Please stay active! Posting at least once a week is sufficient, though not too strictly enforced. If you can't post once a week, please tell me or another staff member
6. You can have no more than six characters
7. Please have it so that your username is the same as your characters name
8. There are only three species on this board, vampires, werewolves, and humans.
9. Please restrict foul language.
10. If you want to request a shop, lake house, or any other sub-board that doesn't have a form, msg the admin or co-admin.
11. When your account gets deleted your character automatically goes up for adoption unless you make one last post of his/her death.

1. In the ‘News’ side board, there will be a date (ex. Sept. 1-7). This is the current week we are on in Hush Hills. In your post have the date italicized and bolded with no other modifications such as color, font etc. The weeks will last depending on the activity on the board. If there have been a lot of posts, then the timing on the week may speed up, depending on the admin’s decision. If you want it to be more specific, you can put the day of the week (ex. Monday, Tuesday, etc.).
2. You can't kill another's character without permission from the member who has the character and the admins. If the member does not respond to your request to kill a character within three weeks, you can kill that person's character WITH the permission from the admin.
3. You can make up humans and play them in your threads(for food for example). Don't use the same humans over and over again though and be realistic! Ask a staff member if you are not sure.
4. You must follow species guidelines.
5. Please restrict foul language. If your character curses a lot, you can use 'he cursed soanso in a fit of rage' instead of actually typing out the words.
6. NO GRAPHIC SEX. You can lead up to it...but it stops there.
7. If your character has ties and relationships with another character pre-creation, tell an admin and get their approval.
8. I know we all get writers block, but 150 words is required. You can wait a day if you have to.
9. Weather is on the news, so don't deviate from that too much.
10. If your character has never met/talked to certain character before, then your character cannot automatically know the other character's history or personality traits.
11. Please use correct grammar and punctuation unless you character talks that way. Also please speak in third person.
12.You cannot enter into a unlocked store or home unless it is yours or you get permission.
13. You cannot start your own pack or coven unless you get permission from the admin.
14. Please either put qotes("...") or bold your characters words. Please either put single quotes('...') or italicize your characters thoughts. Or something like that xD

1. Only one character per account.
2. You must follow the character form.
3. Please put "I am a Hush Hills resident" or "I am not a Hush Hills resident" in the 'other' section of the profile form so that we know that you read the rules.
4. You must wait to be accepted to RP.
5. Please pick out a nickname FOR YOURSELF and put it some were in your character accounts so that we can keep track of whose characters are whose.
6. You must have at least one character of each species before you make another of the same species. *Unless you want to make more than one human. OR you are adopting an existing character.*

Rules for Breaking Rules-
If you break one rule you get a warning.
If you break two rules you get banned for two weeks
If you break three rules you will most likely get deleted.

These rules can be changed/added to/made exceptions for at any time for any reason by the admin.
